What is the moderation policy for the Professional Forum?

The Journal’s Professional Forum is moderated by the editorial team to ensure that posting rules are upheld and to help guide and stimulate the community. All content is vetted for suitability. Each subscriber using the Professional Forum is required to accept our terms and conditions. We expect all subscribers to: maintain appropriate behaviour during their discussions; post in the correct forum; stay on topic; adhere to our no advertising rule; post no inappropriate links; and respect the privacy of others. The moderators reserve the right in their absolute discretion to edit, alter, delete or move any material that is posted.

Do I need to be a qualified professional to register?

Why do I need to register to access the current issue and also post on the Professional Forum?

We would like to have some appreciation of our audience. Registration is free, and we only ask for basic personal and professional details. Subscribers may remain anonymous in the Professional Forum by posting under their username.

What kinds of articles will the Journal consider for publication?

The Journal is keen to consider for publication: original papers; systematic and meta-analysis reviews; commentaries; case studies; media reviews; book and multimedia reviews; continual professional development course reviews; and letters to the editor.

What is the copyright policy for the Journal?

Contributors are advised that while they retain ownership of the material to be published in the Journal, they are wholly and fully responsible for obtaining permission from any copyright holders for reproducing through anymedium of communication those illustrations, tables, figures or lengthy quotations previously published elsewhere. How quickly will my manuscript be reviewed?

We will endeavour to review your article as quickly as is feasible. A decision regarding acceptance for publication usually takes up to 10 weeks, but we cannot guarantee an offer to publish within this timeframe.

Yes, all submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.
